  1. The jumbo one is fantastic!!

  2. I stay in hostels most of times so your interesting list gives me an idea of great accommodation places around the world. I specially like the Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel – man that is an amazing spot to have a hostel. Is this real??

  3. We don’t usually stay in hostels but could definitely make an exception for the lighthouse. Some great options here.

  4. These all look really cool! It’s a shame they get so expensive in the summer. $30 is a lot to spend on a dorm bed. Great concepts though!

  5. Hi Will, hostels are way more fun than hotels for any age. Great way to meet people. If you do ever fancy working in the English teaching world, I’m the (old) girl to ask 🙂

  6. Staying in light house would be unique experience.

  7. Great list! Very cool ideas here. I’m adding a couple to my bucket list.

  8. I’ve never ever stayed in a hostel. The plane one in Stockholm looks really interesting, and the Kex just looks like an uber cool cafe. Who knew hostels could be so interesting?

  9. Yes! These are fantastic. Jumbo is probably a little on the expensive side for a budget traveller but the lighthouse and former prison are brilliant and so cheap. Love the details in all of them and the quirky personality of each place. Great post

  10. I love staying in unusual places, and these look incredible! I knew about the Jumbo Jet but not the others… My top cool hostels so far have been a converted prison in Christchurch, NZ and a converted nunnery in Melbourne, Australia 🙂

  11. Cool list! How did I not know about Pigeon Point?! I was trying to plan a stay in that area a few months ago, but our plans fell through. I’ll definitely look into it for next time!

  12. These are so cool. I think my favorite are the water ones, in amsterdam and then the lighthouse. I actually would love to live in a lighthouse one day, at least for a little bit. I love unusual places like this, great list, thanks for sharing.

  13. Thanks for sharing awesome information with us..Keep writing else..
